Conversations Part. II

I forgot to answer my own question.

What drives us to talk? There are many reasons, but the most common reason would be the need to communicate. But sometimes, we just cant communicate with another person. For an example, you are in a new environment with new people. You want to communicate with them but you just cant.

The obvious reason is shyness. You wouldn't know how the person would react. What if I said this? Would he/she mind? Or sometimes you just go blank. You just cant think what to say even though you want to start a conversation.

Conversation is sometimes an art, you need feedback from the person. The continuation of the conversation must depend on the person's reply. But meeting someone new and talking to them is indeed tiring and requires energy. You are constantly finding new topics to talk to so that interest would be found and topics will be flaring out.

BUT!

In the wonders of the virtual world, ITS DIFFERENT! People are far less shy, people are extremely friendly! People wouldn't give a damn about the topics and just simply blurt out. Mostly its down to eye contact. In the virtual world, we see words. Words may mean something but conversing eye to eye brings out the person. Its weird that when you are in the virtual world, everyone is your friend. But when you meet face-to-face even though you've talked to the person online in ages, you still feel shy and like as if it is the first time meeting.

I guess its down to the confidence people have in themselves. There are so many uncertainties when you meet someone new. You are afraid that your image will be tarnished. You are so worried about talking well. But, to be well and friendly, you must not be bothered about he uncertainties.

Guess maybe we all should converse digitally even though we meet in real life..

Cool huh? Everyone would be so damn friendly.

Conversations

What drives us to talk whenever we meet someone? Could we really talk anything under the sun whenever we meet someone?

I've always been asking myself this questions. The really easy people to talk to is your friends. But what do you actually talk? Its instantaneous you will come out with a topic. But is it really that diverse?

Think about it. Take for an example, a friend of mine. Whenever I meet friend A, our main topic would be about girls and facts of life. Small talks do happen which is mostly consist of the past where we spent our times together with other friends. Then moving on to friend B, our main topic is about cars and some information about how do cars perform. Other smaller topic would be our past. Then I have friend C, our main topic is about what is going on around KK; who is running this company, what is he/she doing, etc... then the small topics are mostly our past and our lifes.

Its really funny when you really sit down and think. Such simple topics, but we drag it on forever and ever. In the end, we still dont mind and start talking about it.

Exciting....
